The Italian Kendo Confederation (CIK) is responsible for promoting the disciplines of Kendo, Iaido, Jodo and Naginata on the Italian territory.

 

It is a member and, consequently, the only body in the territory of the Italian Republic, recognized by the International Kendo Federation (FIK - SportAccord member), by the European Kendo Federation (EKF) and by the International Naginata Federation (INF) for the management of the practice. and the spread of the disciplines Kendo, Iaido, Jodo and Naginata.

 

As a member of FIK (International Kendo Federation), the Italian Kendo Confederation is the only entity recognized by Zen Nippon Kendo Renmei, the Japanese national federation, the undisputed leader in the world for the disciplines indicated.

 

The CIK is internationally active in organizing major events of the European Kendo Federation and the International Kendo Federation.

 

The Honorary President of the Italian Kendo Confederation, Gianfranco Moretti, is a permanent member of the Board of Directors of the International Kendo Federation.
